Death Note is among my favorite anime. I watched the subbed version as it was coming out last year. I've also seen both of the live action movies, which I thought had a better ending than the anime or manga. Light/Kira and L (in that order) are my two favorite characters.

I read through the whole manga, and it quickly became one of my favorites. Intriguing story, well-done art, interesting characters. I haven't finished watching the anime yet, but I'm watching it as it plays on [adult swim].
